March 15, 2025 | National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. Southeast District

At the 67th Southeastern District Conference of NANBWPC, Inc. held on March 15, 2025, Dr. Leslye Kornegay delivered an engaging and insightful workshop that left a lasting impact on attendees. As an accomplished executive, educator, and author, Dr. Kornegay was invited to present on two key areas of leadership that align with the mission of the organization: succession planning and transformational leadership.

In her first session, “Succession Planning for Sustainable Leadership,” Dr. Kornegay guided participants through strategies to cultivate talent, build legacy-minded organizations, and ensure continuity of leadership in both professional and community spaces. The presentation included a slide deck that offered practical tools and frameworks participants could take back to their own clubs, businesses, and institutions.

Following the workshop, Dr. Kornegay led an open discussion centered on her acclaimed book, Leading to Change the World. Through this dialogue, she shared personal reflections and key themes from the book, including navigating power structures, empowering future leaders, and staying grounded in purpose-driven leadership.

The session was more than informational—it was transformational. Attendees praised Dr. Kornegay for her authenticity, clarity, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others through leadership development.

Her presence at the conference embodied the spirit of NANBWPC: building up Black women leaders, fostering intergenerational mentorship, and driving positive change across industries and communities.
